The IDD BCaBA performs a variety of functions involved in program development, implementation, oversight, and coordination of behavioral services. Reviews ISPs and assists with the development and implementation of behavior support plans, collects and analyzes behavioral data, coordinates clinical resources, and serves as a resource to RHA Behavioral Health staff. Provides behavioral support and services across multiple programs within the designated region or area.IDD BCaBA

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may supervise Behaviorists and/or other assigned behavioral support staff.
Salary:
$70,000–$75,000
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of functions involved in program development, implementation, oversight, and coordination of behavioral services.
- Provides behavioral services and support across multiple programs within the designated region.
- Assists with the coordination of IDT meetings and Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
- Reviews ISPs, assists with coordinating clinical resources, and serves as a behavioral resource for RHA Behavioral Health staff.
- Assists with reviewing assessment and intake information, case formulation, and immediate needs in the development and review of Person-Centered Plans.
- Assists with the development, implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of behavior support plans.
- Collects, analyzes, and monitors behavioral data to support effective treatment and service outcomes.
- Provides behavioral consultation and support to individuals served and program staff.
- Assists with the training and coaching of direct support and behavioral staff regarding evidence-based behavioral strategies.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and follow-up of the Unit Quality Improvement Plan.
- Participates in Quality Assurance activities including medical record reviews, audits, and plans of correction.
- Assists in developing and monitoring first responder activities and materials, including the “Program Crisis Notebook.”
- Provides consultation and support during consumer crises and assists with the evaluation of high-risk behaviors on an emergent and routine basis.
- Assists with the review of sentinel events and potential hospitalizations to ensure that appropriate community-based alternatives and behavioral supports have been considered.
- Assists with monitoring clinical and behavioral outcome measures.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive materials, employee information, service-user rights, and protected health information.
- Sets expectations and assures adherence to confidentiality, privacy, and applicable RHA policies and procedures.
- Reinforces an ethical culture in conjunction with the RHA Code of Conduct and Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Practices universal precautions by understanding and appropriately utilizing personal protective and safety equipment.
- Maintains a working knowledge of evidence-based behavioral practices, clinical program policies, and applicable service definitions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or IDD Regional Operations Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a current Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification and remain in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Experience implementing behavior support plans and collecting/analyzing behavioral data preferred.
- Possess credentials required by Federal or State law.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations related to IDD and behavioral health services.
- Experience providing behavioral support, staff training, or clinical consultation preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership experience and experience with person-centered/individualized service plans preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to regularly stand and walk.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
- Exception – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: For these programs only, employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The requirement to talk and hear does not apply.
