Description
Help create an inclusive learning experience where every student can succeed! Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide specialized instruction, individualized support, and collaborative educational services for students in grades 6–8 in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Position Overview
- Provide specialized instruction and support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in grades 6–8, addressing individual communication, academic, and access needs.
- Conduct educational assessments, develop instructional plans, and monitor student progress.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement IEPs, including participation in IEP meetings and collaboration with families, general education teachers, service providers, and school staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure services and accommodations are delivered in accordance with student IEPs and applicable special education requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, Education, or a related field preferred
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) required
- Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students at the middle-school level, including experience with assessments, instructional planning, and IEP responsibilities
