Description
Organizational Background: Bridge Prep is a unique, mission driven public charter elementary school on Staten Island dedicated to providing a student-centered educational option for our students, many of whom have dyslexia or other language-based reading difficulties, and who are in need of additional supports in order to meet academic proficiency. Our academic offerings are rooted in our commitment to the Science of Reading and multisensory instruction approaches which provide all students with an academic experience focused on academic and personal growth through targeted support. Position Summary
An Operations Manager at Bridge Prep will fulfill the following duties:
- Supervise the general daily school operations - managing the Main Office, maintaining the building conditions and appearance, and liaising with School Food, School Health, School Safety, custodians, the Building Maintenance Team, and other external service providers as needed.
- Oversee all recordkeeping systems, physical and electronic - SchoolMint, Alma, ATS, etc.
- Support the hiring process by assisting in onboarding and offboarding staff, including coordinating the hiring process for substitute teachers.
- Maintain the building visitor control policies and protocols and facility permits, including oversight of school permit applications and compliance related to building usage.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, furniture, technology, etc., while maintaining accurate inventory systems and supporting the operational needs of all school departments.
- Coordinate daily operational functions to ensure the efficient and effective running of the school environment and respond proactively to operational challenges as they arise.
- Process and monitor purchase requisitions and operational requests in accordance with established school procedures and budgetary guidelines.
- Facilitate new staff systems onboarding by coordinating access to technology platforms, operational systems, and school-based resources necessary for successful transition into their role.
- Collaborate with school leadership to develop and refine systems that enhance operational efficiency and support a positive school culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal Operations in support of the school's mission and day-to-day operations
Reporting: This is a full-time position reporting to Assistant Principal Operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required; relevant role-specific experience will be considered.
- Experience in a school or working with children is desired.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suite applications.
- Superb organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, judgment, initiative, optimism, and a sense of humor.
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $65,000-$85,000 annually.
