The supervisor performs various functions related to the operation of the concession stands. The supervisor facilitates efficient customer service in the areas of concession sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all operations of the concession stands.
- Create volunteer schedule.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the concession stands
- Opening procedures for stand operation
- Training cashiers and volunteers to operate POS system as well as prepare food
- Close stand at end of shift
- Perform end of shift cash handling procedures.
- Ensure all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise.
- Oversee scheduling and administrator for volunteer sign-up.
- Responsible for training team members, creating efficient and enjoyable work environment. Back-up during busy times for concessions.
- Prepare reports regarding operations, expenses and income and maintenance requests.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Bring concerns and maintenance items to Director of Racing F&B.
- Track labor and income.
- Maintain an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests
- Punctual attendance required
- Ability to work required overtime.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - One or more years’ beverage service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required; nightclub experience preferred.
- Casino experience preferred.
- One or more years’ guest service experience required.
- Must be able to handle several projects and tasks at the same time.
- Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Food & Beverage team members.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
- Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
Must successfully complete R.S.A.
ServSafe certified.
