Mitel's Vertical Solutions Marketing team turns the company's communications, collaboration, and AI-driven automation technology into industry-specific solutions that solve real problems for Healthcare, Government, Hospitality, Retail, Education, and Manufacturing organizations. In this role, you'll own product marketing for one or more of these verticals — translating purpose-built solutions such as frontline AI devices, EHR-integrated patient engagement, and mission-critical command and dispatch communications into positioning and content that resonates with industry buyers, from hospital IT directors to retail operations leaders to public safety officials.
You will own vertical solution marketing strategy and execution, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market (GTM) planning, launch execution, and lifecycle marketing for your assigned industries. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Regional Marketing, and external partners, you will drive market differentiation, solution adoption, and competitive positioning across 100+ countries.
Responsibilities:
Vertical Messaging, Positioning & Value Creation
Develop and own solution positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, and competitive differentiation for assigned vertical markets
Translate industry-specific workflows — clinical, retail floor, dispatch and command, campus, or plant-floor operations — into clear, buyer-relevant messaging for line-of-business and IT decision-makers within each vertical
Ensure consistent messaging across all customer-facing, partner-facing, and internal communications for assigned verticals
Create and adapt content across formats including solution briefs, landing pages, case studies, sales presentations, battlecards, video scripts, PR materials, and digital campaigns tailored to each industry's regulatory, operational, and buying context
Launch & Go-to-Market Ownership
Own end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution for vertical solution launches (e.g., AI-powered frontline devices, EHR-integrated patient engagement, mission-critical command and dispatch communications) across multiple regions
Develop launch strategy, messaging, audience segmentation, channel approach, and success metrics specific to each vertical's buying committee and sales cycle
Build and manage integrated launch plans across Product, Engineering, Sales, Enablement, Regional Marketing, and Agency partners
Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early — including compliance, certification, and integration requirements specific to regulated or mission-critical verticals — and drive resolution to ensure successful launch execution
Ensure lifecycle marketing alignment post-launch, including adoption, upsell, and expansion messaging by vertical
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the primary bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to translate roadmap and technical capabilities into market-ready, industry-specific messaging and campaigns
Partner with regional marketing teams across EMEA, North America, and APAC to ensure global vertical strategy is effectively localized
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Enablement teams to develop vertical competitive positioning, objection handling, and customer-facing enablement materials
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on messaging, priorities, and GTM execution plans for assigned verticals
Market, Customer & Competitive Intelligence
Lead competitive analysis and maintain up-to-date battlecards for key vertical competitors (e.g., healthcare and patient-engagement vendors, retail frontline communication providers, mission-critical dispatch and command vendors)
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and customer needs across assigned vertical markets
Gather and synthesize customer, partner, and sales feedback to refine vertical positioning and identify solution gaps or expansion opportunities
Translate market insights into actionable positioning, messaging, and product marketing recommendations, including input to the product roadmap for vertical-specific capabilities
Pricing, Packaging & Commercial Input
Contribute to pricing and packaging strategy through vertical market, customer, and competitive insights
Support Product Management and Revenue teams in evaluating pricing models, packaging structures, and market positioning for vertical solutions
Requirements:
Exceptional written communication in English
Proven ability to create clear, persuasive, and high-impact messaging for diverse industry audiences and channels
Experience translating technical product concepts into business value narratives and customer-facing content for a specific vertical or regulated industry
Strong storytelling, editing, and content structuring skills
Strong product marketing & GTM experience
5–8+ years of experience in product marketing, vertical/industry marketing, or go-to-market roles in a regional or global organization
Proven ownership of solution positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution, ideally within a regulated or operationally complex industry (e.g., healthcare, public safety, government, retail operations)
Experience supporting or leading complex solution launches in enterprise technology environments
Strong project & program leadership
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders
Ability to manage complex GTM programs with multiple dependencies, timelines, and global coordination requirements
Strong prioritization, execution discipline, and ability to drive accountability without direct authority
Strategic & analytical mindset
Ability to interpret market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into actionable vertical strategies
Strong problem-solving skills and commercial awareness, including sensitivity to industry-specific compliance and procurement considerations
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Strong interpersonal & influence skills
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across product, sales, and marketing functions
