What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Belgrove Resort & Spa is looking for a talented and dedicated Garde Manger to join our culinary team.

Position Overview

The Garde Manger/Cold Food Cook is responsible for preparing, assembling, and presenting a variety of cold dishes and appetizers while maintaining the highest standards of quality, freshness, sanitation, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, canapés, charcuterie, and other cold dishes.
• Prepare and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Prepare dressings, sauces, pâtés, terrines, and other cold preparations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked garde manger station.
• Assist with buffet, banquet, and special-event setups.
• Follow proper food storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures.
• Maintain strict food-safety and sanitation standards.
• Work closely with other kitchen stations to ensure timely and consistent service.
• Assist with daily prep and other culinary duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous garde manger, line cook, or culinary experience preferred.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic food preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and food presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Culinary education or training is a plus.
