Brown & Brown is seeking a Property Casualty Advisor to join our growing team in Columbia, SC!
Individual whose primary responsibilities are in the sales and renewal of business, who receive commissions in addition to a regular salary and who may, or may not, be defined as “producer”. Decision-making and discretion are utilized in the process of acquiring and renewing accounts.
How You Will Contribute:
Assist applicable departments in daily transactions and gain knowledge of their process.
Spend approximately 50-60% of the time outside with customers and new business opportunities.
Responsible for the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients.
Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters, or through personal visits.
Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and sales experience.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Exceptional telephone demeanor.
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position.
