Principal Market Development, Forecasting & Scenario Planning
Introduction
AT&T Consumer is looking for an experienced marketer and strategist. This role helps identify where AT&T can grow by translating local market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, sales performance, and product readiness into clear growth strategies.
We are seeking a data-driven, strategy-minded candidate with 5+ years of experience in marketing, telecommunications or technology, market development, sales strategy, or business analytics. In this role, you will help size growth opportunities, define priority customer segments, identify local growth plays, and develop practical recommendations that improve customer acquisition, market penetration, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze growth opportunities across geographies, customer segments, business density, competition, product availability, and sales channel reach.
Develop market assessments that identify where AT&T should prioritize growth, which customer segments to target, and what actions are needed to improve market performance.
Turn complex market, customer, sales, and competitive data into actionable recommendations that define where to focus, how to win, and which growth actions leaders should prioritize.
Build market briefs, opportunity summaries, customer segment profiles, business cases, and executive-ready materials that support decisions across marketing, sales, product, finance, and analytics.
Evaluate past and current marketing and sales initiatives across markets, customer segments, industries, sales channels, and offer types to identify what worked, where it worked, and where similar actions can scale.
Partner with teams across AT&T Consumer, including marketing, sales, pricing, product, finance, research, distribution, analytics, and technology, to align recommendations with execution plans.
Use dashboards, AI-enabled workflows, and analytics tools to make market intelligence faster, more repeatable, and easier to act on.
Prepare concise, executive-ready narratives that connect market opportunity, competitive dynamics, sales performance, financial impact, and marketing effectiveness to actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
Experience supporting marketing, market development, strategy, growth, product, pricing, distribution, or business analytics initiatives; telecommunications, broadband, wireless, technology, or subscription-based business experience strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work across large, complex data sets and turn imperfect information into clear, practical growth recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to size market opportunities, assess customer segments, evaluate investment tradeoffs, build business cases, and support scenario-based decision-making.
Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, including customer segmentation, targeting, sales channel strategy, offer development, sales enablement, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
Experience building executive-ready presentations, market briefs, dashboards, scorecards, or recurring business review materials for senior stakeholders.
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize customer, market, competitive, sales, and financial insights into decision-ready recommendations.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with Power BI, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, customer data platforms, or AI-enabled analytics tools preferred.
Strong collaboration, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across leaders, functional partners, sales teams, and local market teams.
