They are seeking an Accounting Coorinator to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and administrative functions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Enter, verify and reconcile financial data in SAP
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders and payment requests
- Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances and collections
- Perform bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation
- Process employee expenses and ensure proper coding and approvals
- Assist with financial reporting and preparation of accounting summaries
- Investigate and resolve billing, payment and account discrepancies
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments and account information
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and other accounting-related projects
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies
- Support audits by preparing required financial documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Hands-on experience using SAP in an accounting or financial environment
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting principles
- Experience with reconciliations, invoicing and financial data entry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with month-end procedures considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment considered an asset
