About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of Alcoa Australia's refining and non-process infrastructure portfolio in a Managing Director-equivalent role. In this newly created role, reporting directly to the President, Alcoa Australia, you will lead a significant industrial portfolio, providing strategic leadership across multiple refinery operations and non-process infrastructure assets including port facilities. You will set the direction for a complex, geographically dispersed business, balancing operational performance, safety, sustainability, capital stewardship and long-term growth.
As a member of the Australia Executive Leadership Team, you will be leading through General Managers/Operations Managers, Senior Site and Functional leaders. You will translate strategy into business outcomes, drive transformation at scale across the operations and position the portfolio for its next phase growth.

Key responsibilities include:
- Champion Safety, Health and Sustainability, ensuring Alcoa's safety, environmental and risk management standards are embedded across the portfolio.
- Lead a Significant operational portfolio, delivering safe, reliable, sustainable and cost-competitive performance across refining operations and non-process infrastructure assets.
- Set strategic direction and drive value creation by aligning portfolio priorities, operational performance, capital investment and asset strategy with Alcoa's long-term business objectives.
- Lead transformation and future growth, shaping the operating model, driving productivity and performance improvements, and preparing the portfolio for continued evolution and expansion.
- Develop exceptional leadership capability, building a high-performing leadership culture defined by accountability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Influence internal and external stakeholders, representing Alcoa with executive leadership, government, regulators, communities, Traditional Owners, industry partners and investors to strengthen strategic outcomes and Alcoa's licence to operate.

What you can bring to the role
- Extensive executive leadership experience within large-scale refining, mining, resources, processing, manufacturing or other asset-intensive industrial environments.
- A proven track record leading complex, operational portfolios through senior leaders, delivering outstanding safety, operational, environmental and financial performance.
- Demonstrated success driving large-scale transformation, including productivity improvement, operating model redesign, organisational effectiveness and culture change.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic judgement, with experience overseeing capital allocation, asset performance, business planning and risk.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across a variety of stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally supported by postgraduate studies and advanced executive leadership development.
