Job Description
As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Monitor in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will create a welcoming, professional experience for tenants, visitors, and vendors. You will support access control, manage visitor credentials, monitor alarm-related activity, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication. - Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees at a commercial real estate front desk by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
- Monitor access points, reception-area activity, and applicable security-related systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, requests, and critical situations in a calm, customer-focused, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Support daily front desk operations by answering phones, providing directions, receiving deliveries, and communicating relevant information to building management and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
