  • Review of complex underlying consolidation workings prepared by Third Party Accountants and the internal team members which includes in-specie transfers, joint venture and associates
  • Present technical accounting assessment memos to Technical accounting forum, eg Impairment, Goodwill, Held for Sale, IFRS 10, IFRS 16
  • Be accountable for delivering expert advice or service, apply judgements , using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise for interpretation and implementation of accounting standards and business requirements
  • Presentation of analytical review to VP / Head of Group consolidation during reporting period.
  • Responsible for overall delivery of work and coordinating with various stakeholders and TPAs and own the process end to end for SPE and OEIC reporting

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Review and sign off of the Consolidated funds reporting under IFRS and associated workbooks, for submission to M&G  Group Head Office and ensuring any other consolidation requirements are met.
  • Present and review of IFRS10 assessment and technical memo’s
  • Ensure that third-party accountants are kept informed and up to date for various requirements of group reporting.
  • Lead the monitoring of funds with internal investments, impact assessments an consolidation assessment papers.
  • Review and present analytical reviews for the sign off with Head of finance/Group Reporting Director
  • Review and sign off of ADS reporting for submission to M&G  Group Head Office.
  • Review and responsible for workings done by the team
  • Provide support for other members of the Consolidation Team
  • Maintain a good relationship with the rest of Finance and the Auditors, fund teams, third party accountants and other parts of the M&G business
  • Review and development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes
  • Keep up to date with the latest business developments
  • Keep up to date with the latest accounting developments
  • Provide advice and guidance on accounting treatments
  • Ad hoc tasks and participation in ad hoc projects
