As an RMA, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day patient care team. You’ll care for patients with a variety of urgent and unexpected health concerns, support the physician throughout the visit, and help make sure patients receive the care and attention they need.
You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills, take on a variety of responsibilities, and work closely with a team that makes a difference for patients every day. Responsibilities:
- Assist physician in setting up for procedures and exams, revising daily schedules; obtaining charts and charge tickets, locating lab tests and X-ray reports
- Ensure that patient chart/EMR entries are made accurately and in a timely manner
- Contact pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions; notify patient; document appropriately
- Notify hospital or personnel of physician's orders
- Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
- RMA certification
