Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, you will possess a good understanding of manufacturing operations and related processes, create job packets for assembly lines, and work with line leads to ensure correct labels on various product lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains label stock for finished goods.
• Prints labels and manuals.
• Delivers packets of labels and manuals to assembly lines throughout the factory.
• Investigates label, manual and equipment problems and works with the Operations Manager and/or Engineering team to resolve.
• Responsible for maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in their work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Packet Clerk profile or candidates for the position:

• HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.  
• Prefer familiarity with manufacturing processes at Systemair Mfg.
• Requires the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Requires strong verbal communication skills.
• Requires basic understanding of computer applications and MRP
• Requires attention to detail.
• Consistently puts forth exceptional effort, works efficiently, and is able to keep up with the assigned workload.
• Must be tolerant of differences, a good listener, adaptable to change, able to manage conflict, able to prioritize time, resources and goals.
• Ability to motivate self and others to achieve the company’s goals in regard to safety, quality, productivity, on time delivery, and customer service.

Job Conditions

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend and reach items at ground level and above the head. 
• Must be able to work on feet, standing and walking throughout the factory for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to wear PPE; to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, face shields.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures; requires adherence to safety protocols and teamwork in a production-driven atmosphere. 
• May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment
• May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS
• May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face
