Overview
The Clinical Manager provides operational leadership for nursing and clinical support across multispecialty outpatient clinics. This role focuses on workflow management, staff performance, communication routing, and real‑time problem solving. The Clinical Manager partners with the Nurse Educator and Director of Clinical Quality to reinforce training and support compliance.
Qualifications
- Holds an active Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license or has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Minimum 3 years ambulatory care experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build morale and lead mission‑driven teams.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Oversee daily staffing, call‑outs, and assignment distribution.
- Lead daily huddles and communicate priorities to clinical support teams.
- Ensure efficient clinic flow, timely rooming, and provider support.
- Maintain consistent workflows across multispecialty departments.
- Resolve workflow issues in real time and escalate concerns appropriately.
Staff Management
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, coaching, counseling, corrective action, performance reviews, and discharge of MA, PCT, and phlebotomy staff.
- Reinforce expectations for communication, morale‑building, professionalism, and customer service.
- Mentor Clinical Supervisors and MA Leads.
Training & Competency Partnership
- Collaborate with the Nurse Educator to reinforce training and competency expectations.
- Ensure staff follow standardized workflows and maintain required competencies.
Regulatory & Quality Partnership
- Support operational compliance activities under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Quality.
- Maintain accurate logs, equipment checks, and documentation.
Provider Support
- Ensure providers receive consistent support from clinical support teams.
- Address provider concerns related to workflow or staff performance.
- Promote strong provider‑clinical support collaboration.
Cross‑Department Collaboration
- Partner with Patient Access, Quality, Behavioral Health, Dental, and Operations to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Participate in cross‑department initiatives that improve patient experience.
