Role Overview:
To transform data into meaningful, accurate, and actionable insights that support business decision‑making, performance monitoring, and strategic initiatives. The role focuses on data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and insight generation through the application of analytical techniques, systems, and business understanding within defined governance and data standards.
Are you someone who can:
- Collect, validate, analyse, and interpret structured and semi‑structured data from multiple business systems.
- Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and visual analytics to support operational and tactical decision‑making.
- Translate business requirements into analytical specifications and reporting solutions.
- Identify trends, patterns, variances, and risks through data analysis and provide clear insights and recommendations.
- Support performance tracking against KPIs, scorecards, and strategic objectives.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analytical outputs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand information needs and refine insights.
- Apply data governance, information security, and compliance standards in all analytical work.
- Document data definitions, assumptions, and methodologies to support transparency and repeatability.
- Continuously improve reporting efficiency through automation and optimisation of analytical processes.
- Execute on relevant business intelligence (BI) projects / BI initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress under supervision and guidance.
- Leverage tools built by other D&A teams via consumption or enhancements prior to new builds on D&A outcomes.
- Extract data from various sources for the purposes of data profiling in order to create the technical BI requirements (e.g. source to target).
- Analyse derived information to create value added knowledge of the bank's products, channels, service levels, trends, or customers for business informed decisions under guidance and supervision.
- Maintain BI repository.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, or a related field.
- Have 1–3 years’ experience in data analytics, data science, or similar analytics-related role.
- Are proficient in tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic insights that drive decision-making.
- Are passionate about innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncover actionable insights.
- Have experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and building scalable dashboards and reports.
- Understand data governance, privacy, and security principles, ensuring responsible data handling.
- Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Thrive in agile environments and are comfortable adapting to evolving business needs and technologies.
