Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30, alternating weekends

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides a high quality of service to patients, families, staff and customers in the preparation and service of meals.

• Utilizes correct food sanitation and food safety.

• Completes daily, weekend and holiday cleaning.

• Stocks food products using FIFO.

• Completes grocery storage following correct locations, FIFO, timeliness, removing dented or damaged product.

• Completes cleaning of equipment, ware washing, floors, walls according to the correct procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Food Service experience preferably in a hospital setting preferred.

• Must have excellent communication skills and experience with customers and patients.

• Must have the State of Texas Food Handlers certification within 60 days of hire.

• Physical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Stooping/Kneeling/Bending, and Repetitive Movement, Stooping/Kneeling/Bending, Climbing

• Lifting or carrying between 35-50 lbs.

• Sensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Hearing, Seeing, Feeling, Smelling, Speaking, and Tasting

• This position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens, Loud Noise and Chemical Hazards
