Traineeship Project Description:
This project introduces the intern to how chemistry enables selective etching of semiconductor materials.
The intern will:
- Learn how different chemical precursors and process conditions influence etch rate, selectivity, and material compatibility.
- Assist in developing and improving thin‑film etch processes for metals, dielectrics, and multilayer stacks, and run guided experiments to study how chemicals and parameters affect etch behaviour.
- Support data collection, documentation, troubleshooting of etch issues, and gain hands‑on experience operating tools in a cleanroom environment.
Desired Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of chemistry or materials science
- Interest in semiconductor processing and cleanroom work
- Willingness to handle chemicals and follow safety procedures
- Good documentation and problem‑solving skills
