POSITION SUMMARY:
This role supports the SCS management and direct material teams in Asia in decision making, strategic execution, tracking of initiatives, governance coordination, data-driven insights. The main task will be, to monitor and follow up all SCS initiatives related to supply chain performance such as VAVE / BOM reduction projects as well supply chain risk, by 1) managing databases, 2) re-engineering business process flows, 3) working with systems team for digitalization and AI initiatives. This should be achieved by coordinating with different direct material purchasing teams in Asia and collaborating with other functions for implementing SCS initiatives. The locations covered are: Hong Kong, Shajing, KM, India, Wuxi.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in decision making - Analyze reports using Power BI dashboards and prepare summary slides for further review with management.
- Identify action plan / scenarios for key improvements on sourcing initiatives and strategies based on supply chain analytics.
- Align with Global Systems team /IT on implementing newer digitalization and AI initiatives in the region.
- Review work-flow and ensure supply chain risks are addressed, Create implementation plan and follow-up implementation of policies at SCS region.
- Collaborate with other functions in implementing SCS initiatives.
- Support compliance and governance related activities - audits, new initiatives, data bases, approval flows, process improvements. Ensure alignment with internal policies, procedures, work instructions
- Support in developing dashboards, KPIs, data-driven insights to support SCS decisions. Translate complex data into clear executive level narratives. Partner with IT and systems team to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities
- Monitor geopolitical, regulatory and macroeconomic developments including material indexes impacting supply chain decisions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of Supplier and Commodity Management, Manufacturing Process and Raw Material understanding.
- Ability to conduct trainings on systems and processes
- Very proficient in spreadsheet calculations(MS-Excel), PowerPoint presentations, Power BI, understanding of ERP systems. Flexibility to adopt in new IT environment like AI, Azzure etc.
- Good communication skills , fluency in written & spoken English is a must
- Ability to understand complexities in process-flows and assimilate into policies
- Critical thinking to ensure all risks are addresses when policies/procedures are written
