Data Center Technician - Failure Analysis & Logistics

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our Data Center site team in NorthWest Dublin. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal partners such as DCO, Logistics, and Physical Security.
You will be responsible for executing high-standard Failure Analysis (FA) activities, maintaining rigorous inventory management, and ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities
Failure Analysis & Technical Operations
- Testing & Repair: Conduct a comprehensive range of testing, repair, sanitization, and disassembly across a variety of Data Center IT server and networking equipment & components.
- Networking Support: Perform basic networking equipment removal, installation, and processing.
- SLA Compliance: Deliver consistently on required service level agreements (SLAs) for the testing and processing of components.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other teams within the Data Center environment to plan, test, and deliver priority parts.
- Process Adherence: Perform all tasks with precision, ensuring zero deviation from established processes and maintaining consistent results.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Shipping & Receiving: Manage inbound and outbound parts, unload, pick, and pack orders for shipment across local, EU, and non-EU sites.
- Inventory Control: Maintain precise, real-time records of all inbound and outbound commodities, ensure inventory accuracy, carry out regular audits, and disposition parts as prescribed by the Inventory/Warehouse Management System.
- Metrics & Goal Tracking: Participate in team meetings to review metric analysis and achieve daily and weekly operational goals.
Safety, Workspace & Leadership
- Safety & Security: Strictly adhere to all safety and security protocols and practices within the FA Lab and broader data center environment.
- 5S Standards: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share technical knowledge, educate team members on best practices, and demonstrate strong ownership and leadership values.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports and status updates to the management team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform frequent manual handling, including lifting of materials and products.
- Technical Aptitude: Experience or familiarity with IT server and networking hardware, component testing, or disassembly.
- Operational Skills: Background in warehouse management systems, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple internal teams and communicate status updates clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High commitment to safety, process consistency, and accurate record-keeping.
