We have an exciting opportunity for an Adult outpatient Mental Health Supervisor to join our team of talented professionals.
We have a market-based compensation structure. The estimated salary for this position will vary based on a candidate's transferable work experience and qualifications. As a Supervisor in the Adult Behavioral Health Program, you will be responsible for the following:
The Supervisor will be responsible for all administrative and clinical functioning of the program. This shall include all the functions necessary for the delivery of services to the institutions and client populations of the community served by the program. Regular business hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm. Additional evening and/or weekend hours may be required based on program needs. Work schedule will be determined by the assigned supervisor based on program needs.
Requirements
- Candidates for the position must possess a master’s degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling
- A professional license from the state of Michigan-LMSW, LLP or LPC. All state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action.
- Experience working in a community mental health setting and knowledge of community resources is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders is required.
- Must demonstrate job experience and competence in individual, family and group mental health and/or substance abuse treatment.
- Demonstrate competence in working in a collaborative way with clients and community, cultural competence, good organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have excellent organizational and attention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data.
- Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our clients, staff members and all of the programs represented at The Guidance Center.
- Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
