What You Will Do:
Executes the commissioning and decommissioning of multiplex plunger pump skids and components at oil and gas well sites for use on Jet Pump artificial lift, Saltwater Disposal (SWD) Systems, and other facilities.
Perform repairs and troubleshoots multiplex plunger pumps and its auxiliary components for operation. Including but not limited to; electric motor, variable speed drives (VSD/VFD), safety switches, flow meters, various valves, lubrication, and sump pumps.
Operate and service Horizontal Surface Pumps (HSP).
Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot Jet Lift systems and its components on surface and downhole used for artificial lift in the production of oil and gas wells.
Complete preventative maintenance on the above equipment at regular intervals.
Timely and accurately write up service tickets for the customers to review and be invoiced.
Develops good working relationships with customers through professional communication.
Respond to customer calls and assist with technical questions.
Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Contributes to the department's continuous improvement culture.
Participate with on-call rotation for the facility, as required by the business.
Maintains a clean and well-organized work area and company truck.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2 years of oilfield experience with servicing pump equipment.
Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
Must have an acceptable driving record.
Strong mechanical skills, able to perform mechanical field maintenance work to ensure optimal availability and reliability of artificial lift equipment at oil and gas wellsite locations.
Good oral and written communication skills, able to express thoughts clearly, both orally and in writing, using good grammar.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills. Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to troubleshoot customer issues and manage difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
Ensures accountability by taking personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
Strong safety focus, able to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety; upholding safety standards.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Employee is required to occasionally walk-in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic understanding of multiplex plunger pumps commonly known as Triplex or Quintuplex pumps.
Experience with Jet Lift systems and it’s components.
Basic understanding of Horizontal Surface Pump system and its components
VFD and Automation experience
