Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced server to join our team at Gatehouse! Situated at the entrance gate to Philadelphia's historic Navy Yard, an old gatehouse houses this lively yet laidback eatery featuring a large outdoor patio and beer garden.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver high-volume, professional service
• Master our food and beverage menus to provide expert recommendations and pairings.
• Accurately execute orders and process payments through our POS system (Toast experience preferred) in a fast-paced setting.
• Anticipate guest needs during peak hours, ensuring tables are cleared and drinks are refilled without delay.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the bar and kitchen teams to maintain efficient service flow.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization across the beer garden and indoor dining areas.

Role Qualifications

• 2+ years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or busy sports bar environment.
• Strong knowledge of craft beers, cocktails, and spirits.
• Proven ability to multitask and remain poised under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Exceptional communication skills and a team-first mentality.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and be in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
