What You'll Do
As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy services that help residents reach their highest level of function and independence.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance.
Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress and clinical observations to the supervising therapist.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and resident progress.
Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and home programs.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Participate in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning and resident goal setting.
Follow facility policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
Promote a safe, positive, and resident-centered rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications
Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Passion for helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
