ABOUT OUR RESTAURANT

Mack’s Bingo Kitchen is an approachable American restaurant that utilizes seasonal ingredients from our organic farm and other nearby farms and purveyors. Our restaurant serves as a learning opportunity for our Junior Crew (local Appalachian Youth participating in our program) to engage with all aspects of the restaurant operations to provide a well-rounded experience in the hospitality industry. Youth have opportunities to work in the kitchen preparing and cooking, as well as on the dining room floor, supporting roles including hosting, serving, and interacting with our guests.

As a social enterprise, Mack’s Bingo Kitchen provides a well-rounded hospitality experience for local youth to complement the opportunities offered in our farm, market, bakery, and glass studio. It also provides a casual, approachable, yet exceptional experience for the community through food, drink, and hospitality.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to help keep Mack's Bingo Kitchen running smoothly — someone who takes pride in their work, moves with purpose, and understands that a clean and efficient kitchen is the foundation of a great guest experience.

This role is central to the daily operation of the kitchen. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Management Team to maintain cleanliness, support the flow of service, and contribute to a kitchen culture grounded in high standards, teamwork, and genuine care for the work. No previous experience is necessary — just the right attitude and a willingness to show up and work hard.

Beyond the dish station, this role carries a real mentorship dimension. You will work alongside Junior Crew members and contribute to a kitchen environment where standards are clear, people are supported, and learning is continuous.

This position reports to the Executive Chef.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to stand and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
• Must obtain a Food Handlers certification within 30 days of hire — provided by Mack's Bingo Kitchen
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

EXPECTED WORK SCHEDULE

This part-time position is expected to work 16–29 hours per week, three days per week, inclusive of mornings, evenings, weekends, and some government holidays. We have an immediate need for Friday and Saturday 4:00–10:00pm and Sunday 2:00–8:00pm.

COMPENSATION
This position is classified as a part-time, nonexempt with a starting wage of $15.00/hour. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits for part-time employees:
