As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas by bike, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, academic facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in security-related work are required.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
