Description
Ridge Soils is actively hiring a motivated, hands-on Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our soil, mulch, and aggregate supply yard. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, helping customers, and working in an active outdoor environment.
Location: 340 Regional Road 20, Hannon
Pay: $27–$30 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager with daily yard and retail-counter operations.
- Supervise employees and coordinate daily workloads.
- Provide excellent customer service and product recommendations.
- Monitor inventory, deliveries, and supplier coordination.
- Operate equipment and oversee the safe loading of products.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
- Handle cash, invoicing, and basic administrative duties.
- Step in as Acting Manager when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with landscaping supplies, hardware, quarry operations, or bulk materials is preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on role.
- Confident communicating with customers and employees.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills.
- Loader experience or willingness to obtain the required training.
- Reliable, customer-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
