• Salary Package: Associate Lecturer (Level A) from $89,579 -$120,621 per annum (FTE), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

• Appointment Type: Fixed-term appointment until 31 December 2028, with flexible employment options from 0.4 FTE (part-time) to 1.0 FTE (full-time). Up to four full-time equivalent positions are available

The School of Psychological Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS), is welcoming applications from qualified academics to help shape and deliver our accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology courses. About the Role

As an Associate Lecturer (Level A, Teaching Focused), you will be involved in unit development and the delivery of teaching across our accredited Psychology courses. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to unit development and teaching within accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology courses.

• Delivering and managing teaching content, lectures, tutorials and assessments across face-to-face and/or online modalities.

• Teaching in applied psychology areas, including psychological assessment, counselling and/or therapy skills, and developmental, social and health psychology.

• Helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning experience for undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts.

• Being available for the role on designated workdays agreed each calendar year (for fractionated appointments).

About You

You are an experienced psychology educator who enjoys creating an excellent learning experience and helping students succeed. You bring recent teaching experience, relevant qualifications and a genuine interest in applied psychology teaching.

Selection Criteria

• Completion of, at minimum, an accredited Bachelor’s degree in psychology with Honours. Preference will be given to applicants who have also completed or are near completion of an accredited Master’s coursework degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Organisational Psychology, Professional Psychology or Counselling Psychology.

• Recent experience (within the past 2 years) as a tutor in psychology units and/or contributing to lectures and workshops in accredited psychology courses in Australia.

• Demonstrated evidence of creating an excellent student experience and engagement with undergraduate and/or postgraduate psychology cohorts.

• A commitment and capability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, including the delivery and management of teaching content, lectures, tutorials and/or assessments in face-to-face and/or online modalities.

• Demonstrated interest in teaching applied undergraduate and postgraduate psychology units, particularly in psychological assessment, counselling and/or therapy skills, developmental, social and health psychology.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to staff and students from all backgrounds, build an inclusive teaching and learning environment, and work effectively within a team.

• For a minimum of 3 FTE positions: completion of an accredited master’s coursework degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Organisational Psychology, Professional Psychology or Counselling Psychology, and current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
