JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Summary

The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for visually telling the NTC story to engage prospective students, celebrate student success, and strengthen brand awareness. This position creates, produces, directs, shoots, writes, and edits high-quality video/photo content to support the College’s marketing, recruitment, and public relations efforts. Video/photo projects are developed for various platforms, including the web, social media, recruitment events, training, and external marketing. Additionally, this role manages video/photo assets, maintains production equipment, and collaborates with the Marketing team to ensure brand consistency. 

Please Note: Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required throughout the year to support college events and activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.  

Video/Photo Production & Content Creation:

• Provide project coordination, including planning, writing, directing, filming, and editing professional video/photo content and social media content.
• Operate video/photo cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and editing software to produce high-quality video/photo content aligned with College initiatives. 
• Write video scripts and develop storyboards to guide production. 
• Organize and manage video/photo shoots, contributing to the College’s video and photo libraries and archives. 
• Produce video/photo assets that enhance brand consistency across media. 
• Schedule and conduct interviews with faculty, staff, students and external partners. 

  

Project Management & Collaboration:

• Meet with internal stakeholders to determine project goals and video/photo needs. 
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. 
• Collaborate with Marketing team members to distribute content across web and social media platforms, as well as print and design. 
• Assist with the development of radio and television advertising content. 

Technology & Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain and update video/photo and audio software and hardware, ensuring functionality and alignment with industry standards. 
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance of video/photo production equipment. 

Additional Experience Information:

• Proven ability to script, edit, and produce video/photo content that aligns with messaging objectives.  
• Strong visual storytelling skills, including video production, lighting, photography, and graphic design.  
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and video/photo editing software.  
• Knowledge of multimedia production, video compression, and post-production techniques.  
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Minimum Qualifications Required

In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in Related field.

Experience: 4 Years
