We're excited to welcome an opportunity for a dedicated Young Adults Resilience Worker to our Stockton service!
Our Young Adults Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live, engaging young people in a range of interventions, using a young person-centred approach, and empowering our young service users to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy lives.
Where: Stockton-On-Tees
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week
* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:You’ll primarily support young adults aged 18–24 in the community, with some work involving under-18s. This role includes:
- Managing a caseload of young adults using alcohol and/or drugs across Sefton.
- Conducting assessments, care planning, and delivering 1:1 psychosocial and digital interventions.
- Facilitating group work, outreach, and community events.
- Providing harm reduction advice and brief interventions.
- Working in partnership with agencies, attending safeguarding meetings, and delivering training.
- Excellent engagement and partnership skills.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding for children, young people and adults.
About You:
- Utilise your expertise in working with young individuals to create a meaningful difference.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the present-day challenges encountered by this specific demographic.
- Show empathy and understanding towards issues revolving around drug and alcohol use.
- Excel in cultivating robust and supportive professional connections.
- Leverage your experience in fostering strong collaborations with both internal and external partners.
- Your knowledge and hands-on experience in working with young individuals who engage in substance use will be invaluable. Additionally, your proficiency in delivering training across diverse audiences and settings will significantly contribute to the role.
