System Administrator, Apple Endpoint Management
Job Summary
The System Administrator, Apple Endpoint Management serves as the primary owner of PACS's Apple device management environment, supporting macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices across the organization. This role is responsible for the administration, security, automation, compliance, and lifecycle management of Apple endpoints through JAMF Pro and Apple Business Manager. Approximately 60% to 70% of the role is dedicated to Apple endpoint administration, with additional responsibility for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, endpoint security, automation, and enterprise systems administration initiatives. This position partners with infrastructure, security, service desk, and acquisition teams to ensure devices remain secure, compliant, and operational throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Apple endpoint management platforms, including JAMF Pro and Apple Business Manager, to support device deployment, compliance, security, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain configuration profiles, policies, software deployment strategies, operating system updates, and endpoint security standards for Apple devices.
- Support integrations between Apple management platforms, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and enterprise security solutions to ensure a secure and scalable endpoint environment.
- Design and implement automation solutions using APIs and scripting tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual administration.
- Provide advanced support for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, identity and access management, endpoint security, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on onboarding activities, acquisitions, infrastructure modernization initiatives, compliance efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience administering Apple devices within an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of experience administering JAMF Pro.
- Experience managing macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices at scale.
- Experience with Apple Business Manager.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
- Experience with endpoint security, compliance management, and modern device management practices.
- Experience scripting and automating workflows using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications
- JAMF 200, 300, or 400 certification.
- Apple Device Support or Apple Deployment and Management certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Conditional Access.
- Experience integrating JAMF with Microsoft technologies and identity platforms.
- Experience with API-based automation and reporting.
- Experience supporting healthcare, multi-site, or geographically distributed organizations.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale endpoint migrations.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other enterprise IT service management platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Apple device management best practices and enterprise endpoint administration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Intune, and related cloud technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint hardening, certificate management, and security compliance principles.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Salaried position working standard business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
Pay
The base salary for this position is $85,000 - $97,000 based on experience and location.
