**Please note, this is not a remote position, office attendance will be required based on current hybrid schedules.
Position Summary:
The Loan Closing Coordinator's primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with SBA requirements as well as recognizing and proactively resolving problems in the closing process to ensure accuracy and completion of all necessary loan documents. Responsible for facilitating document preparation and commitment of SBA loans. Acts as a courteous and beneficial liaison between customers, departments and outside professional.
Responsibilities:
- Document Review: Complete a detailed review of the loan approval to determine borrowers, guarantors, collateral and other required closing conditions. Identify missing or incorrect information and coordinate necessary corrections.
- Compliance: Review loan files and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Ensure legal and SBA requirements are satisfied.
- Closing Coordination: Prepare accurate commitment packages before closing.
- Loan Disbursement & Draw Administration: Monitor draw loans for disbursement and reconcile all invoices.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; and a minimum of 1 year of consumer/business loan doc prep, analysis, document review, and/or quality review
- Paralegal Certificate a plus
- Experience with SBA and/or USDA documentation
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with bank personnel of all levels, and bank clients
- Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently, establish priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Basic Office Machine Operation Skills, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Fax, postage machine, etc.
