Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Originates and closes financial transactions with new, existing and former customers within an assigned target market to develop new business, and retain and penetrate existing business.
• Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources.
• Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in Healthcare Financial Services, Commercial Finance, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Leasing, or Structured Finance.
• Strong understanding of the Japanese healthcare market, financing solutions, and customer funding requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate, and close financing transactions with customers, distributors, financial institutions, and investors.
• Established network within the Japanese banking sector and financial ecosystem.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align financing strategies to commercial objectives and customer needs.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Experience working for a leading bank, financial institution, leasing company, healthcare finance provider, or relevant industry competitor is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate strategic relationships with banks, investors, export credit agencies (ECAs), and other funding partners to expand financing capacity and support business growth.
• High level of integrity, compliance mindset, and commitment to risk management and governance.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and drive innovative financing solutions.
• Native level of Japanese, and Business level of English

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in banking, structured finance, equipment financing, healthcare finance, treasury, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of lending products, leasing, structured finance, trade finance, and capital markets.
