The Rail Digitalisation & Guild (Sub-group) is a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team established to drive and deliver LTA’s Railway Common Data Platform (CDP), which includes data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities to support railway performance throughout the Planning, Design, Build, Operation, Maintenance and Asset Management processes.
These initiatives are envisioned to improve operational efficiency, strengthen system reliability, support better decision-making and enhance commuter experience.
As an Engineer, UI/UX (Rail Digitalisation), you will support the team in understanding user needs, mapping user journeys, documenting requirements, creating wireframes, and prototyping proofs-of-concept (POCs), all augmented with AI, while contributing to the delivery of rail digital solutions. This is primarily a hands-on design role centred on product design and prototyping, complemented by involvement in business analysis and delivery to ground your designs in real requirements.
Your responsibilities may include:
- User Research and Requirements - Putting the user first, conducting user research and requirements gathering by engaging stakeholders, documenting user journeys and process flows, and translating business needs into clear design inputs and requirements.
- UI/UX Design and Design System – Create and refine wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web, dashboard, and mobile-responsive interfaces while working within and maintaining design governance, consistency with design standards, and component libraries, integrate AI tools across the design lifecycle..
- Business Analysis and Delivery - Support the preparation of business and functional documentation, coordinate with project stakeholders, and contribute to testing and implementation to ensure delivery aligns with requirements.
- Cross-Functional Exposure to Engineering, Contract and Governance Activities - Gain exposure to engineering, governance and contract-related activities by supporting technical reviews, tender inputs and railway production cloud-related implementation.
