Job Description Summary
What impact you’ll makeAs a member of the Operations & Quality Engineering team, the Senior Quality & Process Engineer defines and maintains engineering processes in collaboration with discipline and technical leaders. This role will support the monitoring of key Quality Indicators and assist in defining and implementing tactical action plans. In this role, you will apply Lean principles to support the team’s Kaizen roadmap, facilitate RCA progress for identified issues, and ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- Lead the creation, revision, and implementation of engineering procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor Quality indicators, assisting in the documentation of findings and the execution of tactical action plans.
- Support value stream transformation and the execution of the Kaizen roadmap for SPS-ITR.
- Support RCA progress for quality issues and contribute to the documentation of lessons learned.
- Carry out product and process audits and oversee adherence through regular supervision and monitoring activities.
- Promote a zero-defect and quality stop-work culture within daily project operations.
- Prepare and facilitate Kaizens and productivity workshops.
- Provide regular reports on process performance and improvement status to engineering leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps and recommend solutions.
- Provide training and support to the engineering community regarding process and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in engineering process definition, procedure creation, and process improvement.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and monitor process adherence.
- Effective communication skills with experience in presenting findings and updates to leadership.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as: MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Power point and Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) is desirable.
