Position Overview

The Creative Director serves as the enterprise creative leader responsible for the direction, quality, development, and execution of creative across Five Star Franchising’s growing portfolio of brands.

This role leads and manages the internal creative team while establishing the systems, standards, and processes needed to deliver high-quality creative at scale across multiple brands, audiences, and marketing channels.

The Creative Director will partner closely with Brand Marketing Directors, Performance Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, the Sr. Director of Brand, and Executive leadership to translate brand strategy, messaging and business objectives into compelling creative that drives awareness, engagement, customer acquisition, and franchise growth.

We’re looking for a hands-on creative leader who can move fluidly between strategic creative direction and execution in a high growth, performance setting. This person understands how to build distinct brands within a larger portfolio, lead designers and manage creative talent, manage competing priorities, and maintain a consistently high creative standard across a fast-moving organization.

Multi-brand experience is required. Agency experience is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional creative judgment with strong leadership, operational discipline, and business acumen. They understand that great creative must not only look great; it must communicate clearly, strengthen the brand, support business objectives, and perform across channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative direction and execution across Five Star Franchising’s portfolio of brands.
• Own the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of creative across digital, paid media, social, web, email, print, video, and franchise marketing.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the internal design and creative team.
• Partner with Brand Marketing to translate brand strategy, positioning, and campaign objectives into compelling creative.
• Develop integrated campaign concepts and provide creative direction from initial concept through final execution.
• Establish scalable creative standards, workflows, templates, and processes across brands.
• Partner with Performance and Lifecycle Marketing to develop and test creative that improves engagement, conversion, and campaign performance.
• Manage creative priorities, resources, timelines, agencies, freelancers, and production partners.
• Evolve brand identities and creative systems while maintaining clear differentiation between brands.
• Leverage AI, automation, and emerging creative technologies to improve creative speed, scale, and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in creative, design, advertising, or integrated marketing, including creative leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading creative across multiple brands is required.
• Agency experience or experience in a fast-paced, agency-style creative environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative direction across multiple brands, campaigns, and channels required. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Proven experience leading and developing designers and creative teams.
• Strong expertise in brand identity, campaign development, art direction, digital design, and performance creative.
• Experience partnering with Brand, Performance Marketing, Web, and other cross-functional marketing teams.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and modern creative tools; experience with AI-enabled creative workflows is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in franchise, multi-location, home services, or consumer services is a plus.
