Responsibilities

This person is primarily responsible for moving trailers in and out of dock doors, yard and other areas as required. The role also supports the Logistics Team as both a Dock Coordinator and or Loader Operator as needed.

 

• Moves trailers in and out of the docks in a timely manner
• Must maintain the yard tractor, truck yard, and warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes
• Interacts with the warehouse team members, quality control and production to maximize output and efficiency
• Inspects drop trailers prior to docking, and drop loads in the yard as needed
• Performs all functions of a Warehouse team member when needed
• Responsible for completion of monthly online E-Learnings
• Responsible for completion of daily safety observations in Predictive Solutions
• Able to perform Dock Coordinator and Yard Driver functions independently
• Maintains red tag trailer report
• Perform daily yard check
• Be willing to be trained in all warehouse functions this includes Dock Coordinator and Yard Driver (do not need to currently have any skill sets but be willing to TRAIN)

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license preferred
• Must be licensed and qualified to operate a sit down fork truck efficient manner
• Must demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills

• Desire a motivated self-starter with the ability to work both with a team and independently
• Must have good basic math skills to insure accurate loading/unloading of truck
• Must possess the ability to read and comprehend complex written instructions and correspondence
• Basic computer navigation skills; Windows, SAP, Microsoft suite
• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and go up and down stairs
