Job Description

As a Security Officer Government Building Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a technology-focused location, helping to maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with appropriate entry and exit protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, including concerns involving deliveries, documents, or restricted areas, while maintaining professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
