Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology
Enabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips - Working for tomorrow today.
Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.
Your Role
be responsible for the development, verification and integration of mechatronics modules for wafer positioning and alignment
define the functional architectures and optimize the interaction of mechanics, electronics, sensors, and software.
analyze error budgets and derive system concepts to achieve maximum positioning accuracy.
drive technical improvements and transfer subsystem solutions into robust system concepts.
lead internal and external development partners for mechatronic components
implement different measurement methods to optimize the qualification of modules in the interaction within the system
develop and carry out tests on module and system level to ensure system functionality and reliability
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software, operations, purchasing, and product management
Your Profile
above-average degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, physics, or a comparable technical degree
several years of experience in the development of highly complex mechatronic systems and a comprehensive understanding of systems through your knowledge, particularly in the fields of mechatronics and electronics
proven experience in position measurement and control software combined with the ability of collection, evaluation and analysis of data (e.g., Design of Experiments, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
experience in areas of electron microscopy and/or semiconductor technology is an advantage
excellent oral and written communication skills in English, German language is a plus
ability to manage uncertainty in a rapidly changing environment
collaboration and conflict resolution skills
