As our Group AI & Data Governance Manager, you'll play an important role in shaping how Bupa uses data and artificial intelligence safely, responsibly and effectively across our global business. Working closely with senior leaders across Bupa’s Group Functions and Market Units, you'll help create the frameworks, capabilities and governance activities that support innovation at scale. Key Responsibilities

As our Group AI & Data Governance Manager, you'll:

• Lead the development and implementation of Bupa's approach to AI and data governance across the organisation which support the scale, pace and quality of governance and risk management needed to meet Bupa’s ambitions.
• Help mature enterprise AI and data risk management, covering areas such as model governance, responsible AI, explain ability, bias mitigation and lifecycle risk management.
• Drive the ongoing evolution of Bupa's Responsible AI Standard and Data Governance Policy.
• Design and implement practical standards, controls, guidance, guardrails, metrics and reporting that strengthen governance and risk management.
• Deliver assurance activities that help make sure appropriate governance processes and controls are in place.
• Support the business in balancing innovation with effective risk management, enabling the safe use of AI and data including drive the use of technology and tooling to help continue to mature these areas
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and help shape Bupa's response to changes in the external environment.
• Partner with teams across Group Functions and global businesses to track actions, close findings and improve governance outcomes.
• Lead initiatives that build awareness, understanding and a strong culture of responsible AI and data use across Bupa.
• Support programmes in identifying, assessing and addressing risks that could affect delivery and business outcomes.

 

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in AI, data governance and risk management.

To be successful in this Group AI & Data Governance Manager role, you'll have:

 

• Significant experience in AI and data governance, risk management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of responsible AI practices, including model governance, explain ability, bias mitigation and lifecycle risk management.
• Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, standards and policies.
• A strong understanding of data governance principles and emerging AI opportunities and challenges.
• The ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and practical way.
• Experience leading change and driving improvements across large, complex organisations.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with teams across different countries, functions and business areas.
• A focus on delivering outcomes that support Bupa's purpose, values and customer needs.
