Your role
Inbound Sales Executive - New ZealandWhat you'll be doing
Turn inbound enquiries into great customer experiences
Are you confident on the phone, naturally curious and motivated by achieving results? We're looking for an Inbound Sales Executive to join our Inside Sales team and help New Zealand businesses find the right fuel card and payment solutions.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sales. You don't need years of sales experience; we're looking for someone who is coachable, organised, customer-focused and comfortable speaking with people.
What you'll do
You'll be the first point of contact for businesses making inbound enquiries, helping them understand their options and guiding them through a simple, structured sales and application process.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound phone, web and email enquiries.
- Ask quality questions to understand a customer's fleet, fuel usage, payment needs and timeframe.
- Explain relevant Corpay products, pricing, benefits and application requirements clearly.
- Convert suitable enquiries into completed applications and card sales.
- Follow up on leads, quotes and applications so every opportunity has a clear next step.
- Maintain accurate customer, lead and opportunity information in Salesforce or relevant CRM systems.
- Prepare complete applications and supporting information for credit review.
- Send clear, professional customer communications and application updates.
- Work closely with Credit, Customer Service and Account Management to progress applications and resolve queries.
- Escalate complex or sensitive enquiries when appropriate.
- Share customer feedback and ideas that could improve our sales process and customer experience.
- Participate in coaching, training and team projects that help lift performance.
What success looks like
You'll be supported by your Inside Sales Team Leader through coaching, feedback and a clear sales process. You'll work towards agreed activity, conversion and card sales targets while building your knowledge of Corpay's products, customers and systems.
- Creating a positive first experience for prospective customers.
- Converting quality inbound opportunities into new customers.
- Keeping customer information, applications and next steps accurate.
- Following through on commitments and keeping opportunities moving.
- Collaborating effectively with teams across Corpay.
- Continuously learning and looking for ways to improve.
About you
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys helping customers and is comfortable working in a target-driven sales environment.
- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent practical experience.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- Basic Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Good organisation, time management and follow-up habits.
- A curious, positive and coachable approach.
- Resilience when handling customer objections and working towards targets.
- Comfort using technology and learning new systems.
- The right to work in New Zealand.
Experience that would be great, but isn't essential
- Inbound sales, contact centre, customer service, retail or hospitality experience.
- Experience working with activity, service or sales targets.
- Experience using CRM, ticketing or sales systems.
- Account support, administration or application processing experience.
- B2B sales, fleet, fuel cards or payment solutions exposure.
Most importantly, we're interested in your attitude and potential. If you're motivated to learn sales, enjoy talking to customers and take pride in getting the details right, we'd love to hear from you.
What we offer
- Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Career development - ongoing coaching, structured sales training and genuine career progression opportunities.
- President's Club - top performers are rewarded with an all-expenses-paid overseas incentive trip.
- Health and wellbeing support - access to subsidised wellbeing initiatives.
- Recognition and rewards - we celebrate success and recognise outstanding individual and team performance.
- Supportive culture - join a collaborative team that values accountability, learning and shared success.
