Job Summary
We are looking for a commercially astute and strategically minded business development executive to lead client origination, sector growth and revenue generation across Transactional Banking. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior banking professional who thrives on identifying new market opportunities, building trusted client relationships and converting strategic growth priorities into sustainable commercial outcomes.In this role, you will drive business development, client origination and strategic growth activities across designated sectors, industries and client ecosystems. You will play a key role in strengthening the Bank’s market position, developing sector-led client strategies and partnering across Product, Coverage, Corporate Sales, FI Sales and Regional teams to deliver integrated Transactional Banking solutions that create lasting client and business value.
Job Description
Your key accountabilities will include the following;
Business development opportunity and origination
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across priority sectors and client segments.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategic opportunities.
Sector leadership and strategic client engagement
- Build deep expertise within designated sectors and client ecosystems.
- Develop sector growth plans aligned to the broader Business Development strategy.
Commercial delivery, partnerships and integrated solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across target clients.
- Develop a strong understanding of client strategies, operating models and growth priorities
Enterprise collaboration, people leadership and governance
- Contribute to achievement of Business Development revenue objectives.
- Manage opportunity pipelines and maintain disciplined forecasting processes.

- A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Banking or Business.
- A Postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
- 8–12 years' experience within Transactional Banking, Corporate Banking, Sales, Coverage or Business Development.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, business development or revenue generation.
- Strong understanding of Transactional Banking products and solutions as well as experience operating across complex and matrixed organisations.
