Job Summary
This position is full time at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. The hours are Monday through Friday, days with no call. Occasional flexibility with hours for training purposes is required. Full time benefits eligible!This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sterile Processing professional to lead the education & training of staff in a fast-paced sterile processing department. The position reports to the SP Manager and involves frequent collaboration with the SP leaders and other interdepartmental leaders.
• Responsible for developing and delivering professional development programs and in-service training sessions for healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct needs assessments, analyze training gaps, and design learning objectives and outcomes for in-service training sessions.
• Develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and multimedia resources, using instructional design principles and adult learning techniques.
• Incorporate innovative training methods and technologies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
• Collaborate with preceptors to ensure continuity and effectiveness of new hire training.
• Schedule recurring check-ins with new hires and preceptors to maintain training accountability.
• Perform routine QA audits and collaborate with SPD manager and supervisors on departmental and individual performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties in support of SPD operations, as assigned.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor [CER] – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred.
Experience
3 years minimum SPD Tech experience. Previous SPD leadership experience preferred. Previous experience designing and delivering training programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills needed to maintain constructive working relationships within and outside of the department.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Program planning and organizational skills to effectively manage work and educational data collection.
- Customer service skills are required to effectively meet staff needs and build departmental and external relationships.
- Excellent computer skills are required to communicate electronically and to work with Word, Excel, and SPM instrument tracking system.
