What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, access activity, unusual conditions, and completed patrols in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
