Principal Process Owner

The Principal Process Owner is a change agent responsible for advancing our product development culture by analyzing the effectiveness of business processes then developing and executing action plans to achieve optimal future state, enhance overall customer experience, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
This position is a fundamental part of our cross-functional team located in a fast-paced environment of the corporate office while supporting all our business partners globally.
Principal Process Owner duties and responsibilities:
Acts as CEO of project - Takes accountability and possesses a sense of urgency for entire project outcome
Has established credibility within the organization as a leader, influence project teams and persuade professionals at all levels
Partners with key stakeholders and effectively communicates up, down, and across the organization
Leads with clear direction of priorities in a climate of change
Maintains a strategic cross functional mindset and understands how business decisions will impact entire organization
Effectively drives teams through problem solving and creative thinking to accomplish short term and long-term goals
Implement robust improvements that will scale as we grow
Develop and deliver training to all levels of organization as needed.
Build the skills of all functional leaders and associates through hands-on interactions and personal mentoring in lean management tools
Provide organization, direction, and clarity to the IT Team, Key Stakeholders, and multiple engineering teams globally to create requirements and drive development on software products as well as process improvement projects
Lead the functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of our process and technologies and the needs of our end-users and stakeholders
Plan and prioritize feature backlog grooming, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories for the Global Engineering Teams
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals. Effectively utilizes escalation to remove roadblocks as needed
Lead projects of large to extreme complexity
Develop and execute action plans and project timelines exhibiting strong project management skills
Develop project charters, project plans, project teams and project governance details. Track project progress for scope, budget, schedule and resources
Establish appropriate metrics and report on progress, achievements and results. This includes executive-level reporting, management updates, and best practice sharing throughout the organization
Ensure changes are fully integrated through follow-up communication and consistency utilizing change management methodologies
Drive accountability for team to successfully complete tasks
Principal Process Owner requirements and qualifications
Must Have
5-7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Process Owner, or related role supporting enterprise process, system, or product data transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading organizational change management efforts for enterprise process or system implementations, including stakeholder alignment, communication planning, training, adoption tracking, and reinforcement.
Experience working across global teams to define, standardize, and deploy common processes while balancing regional business needs and local execution requirements.
Proven ability to drive adoption of new tools and processes in highly technical environments by engaging end users, addressing resistance, and connecting change to measurable business value.
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead global workshops, process mapping sessions, requirements reviews, and change impact assessments with cross-functional stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required; periodic travel may be required.
Highly Preferred
Ability to translate complex engineering, CAD, PLM, and product data requirements into clear business processes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation priorities.
Teamcenter implementation experience, including Engineering Change Management, Bill of Materials management, workflow design, release processes, and related product data/process improvement initiatives.
Experience supporting Product Data Transformation initiatives, including process standardization, data cleanup, data governance, migration readiness, and adoption of common global practices.
Strong understanding of global CAD practices and the impact of engineering process changes on design teams, CAD users, product structures, release processes, and downstream business functions.
Familiarity with Teamcenter data models, item and revision structures, engineering release processes, change objects, and CAD integrations.
