Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Patient Care Tech, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, directly supporting patient care and ensuring optimal operational efficiency. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality, safe patient services within the hospital setting.Every day you will collaborate with Registered Nurses, provide direct patient support, perform essential clerical duties, and maintain a safe, organized environment. You will utilize your technical skills for patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment management, ensuring seamless workflow and exceptional patient experiences.To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to apply safety principles diligently. Your proficiency in health information systems, medical terminology, and patient care procedures will be essential for managing tasks and meeting departmental objectives.
- Clerical Skills: Competent and proficient in Health Information Systems, supply ordering and departmental data/reports.
- Technical Skills: Competent in psychomotor skills and technical procedures within scope of practice. Includes care of patient drains, tubes, special equipment, ADL's, mobility, Hospital Information System proficiency, I & O, response in emergency.
- Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures.
- Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Organizational Skills: Uses appropriate organization, priority setting and problem solving skills.
- Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively using proper communication etiquette and manages multiple phone and intercom lines
Job Requirements
Required
- Within the last three (3) years, six (6) months experience in an acute care hospital setting, or healthcare clinic, skilled nursing facility, or homehealth setting as a Care or Nurse Assistant, medical assistant or nursing student with one semester in clinical setting.
- less than 1 year 6 months , upon hire
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

- Certified Nursing Assistant: CA
