As Executive Manager, BB ESG, you will lead a high-performing team that supports Business Banking to work with our customers understand the impacts of the transition on their businesses and access the capital, solutions and expertise needed to support their sustainability ambitions. Reporting to the General Manager, Customer Solutions, you'll be part of a purpose-led and highly collaborative leadership team within Business Banking. Our customers are at the centre of everything we do, and sustainability remains a key strategic priority for the Group and our business.
You'll lead a passionate team of specialists while working closely with stakeholders across the Bank to deliver practical and commercially focused ESG initiatives and programs. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping businesses transition to a more sustainable future.
In this role, you will:
Lead the development and execution of Business Banking's Environmental & Social (E&S) strategy, aligned to CommBank's broader sustainability ambitions.
Oversee the structuring and delivery of sustainable finance solutions, including Sustainability Linked Loans, Green Loans and Social Loans.
Drive a strong risk and control environment across ESG, encompassing both financial and non-financial risks.
Partner with product teams to evolve and enhance our sustainable finance offering for customers.
Lead internal and external ESG reporting obligations and support strategic sustainability initiatives across the business.
Build ESG capability across frontline teams through education, coaching and tailored development programs.
Provide strategic insights and thought leadership on sustainability trends, regulatory developments and emerging opportunities.
Develop, coach and inspire a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Corporate Affairs and the Group E&S team to achieve shared objectives.
We're interested in hearing from you if you:
Have significant experience developing and implementing ESG, sustainability or environmental and social strategies within financial services or a closely related industry.
Possess a strong understanding of the financial and non-financial risks associated with ESG and sustainable finance.
Have a proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders, customers and stakeholders across complex organisations.
Bring exceptional communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes.
Thrive in dynamic environments and can confidently navigate complexity, competing priorities and ambiguity.
Have a strong track record of leading, developing and empowering high-performing teams.
