EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO ESTABLISH AN EMPLOYMENT LIST TO FILL ONE (1) CURRENT WEST JEFFERSON VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF CENTRAL GRANTS ADMINISTRATION AND FOR FUTURE VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR.
Under general direction of the Chief Grant Administrator, this position performs advanced administrative and managerial work overseeing the daily operations of the Office of Central Grants Administration (OCGA). Serves as second-in-command and assists in the development, implementation, and oversight of parish wide grant management, compliance monitoring, audit coordination, policy implementation, and interdepartmental grant operations.  The employee coordinates grant-related activities across departments, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, monitors implementation of corrective actions, oversees pre-award and post-award grant processes, and provides leadership in the administration of complex grant programs. Serves as acting Chief Grant Administrator in their absence and performs related duties as required.  Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference.

Current Employment with Jefferson Parish and permanent civil service status at or above the classification of Administrative Management Specialist IV in the Office of Central Grants Administration or the department of Public Safety Grants & Administration.(PROMOTIONAL AND LIMITED ENTRANCE*)
