Job Description
As a Security Officer Visitor Authorization in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related access control activities at a retail distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
- Control entry and exit of vehicles, trailers, and personnel in accordance with site procedures, documenting irregularities and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
