Job Title: Cutting Room Supervisor
Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager
Department: Cut & Sew
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: Responsible for entire cutting room and shade mark area from a quality, efficiency and safety stand point as well as leadership, organization and cost controls.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality control inspections on all fabric as received.
- Manage fabric inventory to ensure that all fabric that has been received is accounted for.
- Work with the Manufacturing Manager on all fabric shading issues to ensure uniform color during production.
- Cut goods as directed by Manufacturing Manager ensuring quality of cuts to size.
- Document and track material usage as well as rejected material.
- Maintain and store hard patterns and markers in safe place.
- Communicate with the Cutting Room facilitator to improve production flow, increase fabric yield, minimize recuts, and create a work flow utilizing the automated design and cutting equipment.
- Spread material on table, using appropriate methods to ensure best yield and quality.
- Inspect and monitor for fabric quality defects during cutting operation.
- Control scrap, rework, and regraded goods and identify so as not to enter production stream.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all cutting room equipment. Inform the Manufacturing Manager when consumable items and repair parts are required.
- Assist the Manufacturing Manager and VP of Manufacturing Operations and Business Develoment in the research, planning, and implementation of new products or projects.
- Must be trained on SOM App and be able to enter production on tablet.
- Train all new personnel to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
- Follow Agency attendance policy.
- Follow Manufacturing Manager’s instructions
- Maintain the cleanliness of the cutting room area.
- Responsible for receiving raw materials.
- All other duties deemed necessary.
20. Maybe required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Education and or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in needle trades cutting processes preferred. Previous experience in supervisory and leadership roles required.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
CPR/First Aid
